Course Overview

The course is designed for semi-skilled individuals looking to Self-Build as well as Construction Professionals looking to up-skill or build on existing construction knowledge.

With a mixture of classroom tutorials and hands-on workshop instruction, we offer a 5 day stick build course for self-builders and small developers looking to build a Passivhaus home onsite.

Course Objectives

To understand and be confident on the delivery of the Beattie Passive Build System
To understand the fundamentals of Passivhaus construction
To understand the Beattie Passive product and benefits of building with it
Manufacture and assemble a two storey, 27m² Passivhaus structure
To understand:
- Construct the ground floor
- Manufacture, assembly and install the Beattie Passive frame
- Install new windows
- Complete airtightness detailing
- Importance of testing and site logs
